Dubai Based Designer (Since 2001),

Born and raised in Tehran/Iran, Attended SBU (Former National University of Iran) and received a
Master’s degree in Architecture.

Works are in between Art and Architecture Has a strong focus on environmental issues and sustainable
Design.

It has created works in the fields of architecture, vehicle design, product design, furniture design, and
Visual Art.

Zubin Amiri began working in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, after completing his Master’s degree in
Architecture at SBU (Former National University of Iran), where he was born and raised.

As a first step in his career, he began working for Dubarch, a leading architecture and engineering firm in the
UAE, participating in the design of loft offices in Dubai Media City.

Consequently, he and Dubarch Principal founded Mykrowaves in 2002 as a lighting design firm.
During the construction boom in the country, he started working on many mega projects in various cities.

In 2009 after starting to work on the Masdar project, a sustainable city in Abu Dhabi, designed by
Foster + Partners and inspired by the concept of this project, he continued his design work with a focus on
sustainable design.

The multifunctional furniture / Mazeej designed by him has one of the lowest Furniture Production Carbon
footprints in the world.

During these years, the establishment and startup of institutions such as Art Dubai, Art Abu Dhabi, Dubai
Design District and the Louvre Abu Dhabi in the UAE made him follow his career seriously in all activities in
Architecture, Product Design, Furniture Design and Visual Art.
